When I read that you can now resell your Ergobaby carrier through Ergobaby’s new baby carrier buyback program, I got excited.

I’ve tried to be more intentional about making environmentally conscious purchasing decisions lately, whether I’m reducing single-use plastics in my kids’ lunches or just fostering a love for our planet with my kids through great children’s books. And I’m keeping an eye out for companies who are making smart, eco-friendly choices—like Etsy’s commitment to zero-carbon shipping.

And we all know how tough it is to even donate lots of our gently used baby gear, let alone earn any cash for it.

Not surprisingly, this big initiative comes from Ergobaby, a brand we’ve been supporting forever because their carriers are made so well. In fact, they last much longer than our kids can fit in them. That’s why their new Everlove program makes so much sense.

They throughly inspect, clean, and repair your used Ergobaby carrier, then offer them for resale, saving 95% of energy use and 84% of carbon emissions — not to mention keeping trash out of landfills. Let alone taking up unnecessary space in my closet.

Plus, they help put more top-rated carriers into the hands of parents who might not otherwise be able to afford one.

If you have an Ergobaby carrier you want to recycle, visit the Everlove section on the Ergobaby website to make sure your carrier is a model they’re accepting for the program. If so, just send it in and choose your reward, which ranges from a $50 Ergobaby gift card to a nice donation to Baby2Baby.

Visit Everlove to find out if your used Ergo carrier qualifies for their buyback program, or to find a new-to-you carrier for your own family starting in late spring.
