The Kid Should See This

The ruling majesty of the woods, the wise old English oak holds a special place in our culture, history, and hearts. It supports more life than any other native tree species in the UK; even its fallen leaves support biodiversity.

Watch an English oak tree (Quercus robur) bud leaves, flower, and bear fruit in the form of acorns in A Year in the Life of an Oak Tree. This species of oak is the most common tree species in the UK, “especially in southern and central British deciduous woods.”

The short film was created by The Woodland Trust, the United Kingdom’s leading woodland conservation charity.
